2014 Seasons Greetings from Freeline

Hi everyone,

Firstly a special thanks to all of you who travelled with us this year. 2014 was another great season for us, blessed with swell after swell, with some ranking it in the top 3 seasons ever!  We especially appreciate the support of our repeat customers, who return year after year, bringing with them their friends and family who help to spread the good word.

Thanks also to all our operators who did a great job in getting everyone to the best waves available.  Ombak Indah Losmen & Damai Bungalows in Sth Sumatra, Sri Noa Noa in Lombok, Sumbawa, Rote, Sumba and Komodo, Surfing Village in the Telos, Bohemien Baru, Nusa Dewata & Star Koat in the Mentawais, Seriti in the Banyaks and Anugerah on Rote were all busy.

2014 will go down as an important year for Indonesia with ‘Jokowi’ Widodo elected as the new President, and in doing so brushing aside the last remnants of the ‘Suharto new (i.e. old) order’.  We wish him and the country the prosperity it deserves.

I haven’t written too many words this year, but there are plenty of pics and snippets of news in the slideshow below.

Bookings for 2015 are coming in so please get in touch to lock in dates for your 2015 Indo Adventure.

Wishing you a safe and Happy Christmas and fantastic New Year.

All the best from everyone at

Sri Noa Noa 2014 Update

Sri Noa Noa Update

After a quiet early season Sri Noa Noa was booked solid through until November. She covered the usual places including Lombok-Sumbawa, Komodo for a couple of cruising trips, Rote and Sumba.

I have to include the feedback we got from Joe Cervi after their Rote-Sumba trip in September, as it’s quite special:

Hi Stu
Just letting you know that we all thoroughly enjoyed our trip, enough that we’re working on a plan for next year. Heri has a master knowledge of the ocean in that area and we felt very confident in his ability as we travelled from empty break to empty break. Buddi and Josef were there for our every need and the three of them made for a great trip. The history of the Sri Noa Noa was a fascinating read and felt it was not only a pleasure but a privilege to be on. I would love a copy sent if possible.
Thanks Stu and to all the Freeline team.
Regards Joe

So it’s with sadness that after 12 years of thorough enjoyment in owning and traveling on SNN I am considering selling her. As much as I would love to keep her I really need to downsize. For stability of the crew, who are integral to the gig, I am only considering offers that would plan to continue charter operations. If any of you out there might be interested in such an opportunity, please get in touch.

Looks like 2014 will be busy so contact us early to book.
