Malole Surf House offers a sensational surfing holiday with one of the best left-hand breaks in Indonesia right out your front door. Indian Ocean ground swells provide the juice to light up Rote's southwest shore with world-class surf, combined with dominant E-SE trade winds which blow offshore from April to October. In the event the wind shifts, or you come in the shoulder season, there are several wrapping island breaks in the area, which are offshore on a westerly.
There’s always a wave somewhere. Surf variety is excellent, with waves that suit beginners and advanced surfers alike. Swells range between 4-8ft faces rising to over 15ft regularly.
Your surf guide will make sure you’re at the right spot at the right time and introduce you to epic waves, this captivating island and its charming, hospitable people.

ITINERARY |
Day 1 |
Late morning pickup from Bali hotel (in Kuta area) and transfer to airport for flight to Kupang, West
Timor. Pickup and transfer to Sasando or Sylvia Hotel (depending on availability) for 1 night. Kupang is fairly untouched by tourism but is safe and people are very friendly. |
Day 2 + |
Early morning pickup and transfer to Kupang harbour for fast ferry to Rote Island, then transfer by AC mini-bus to Malole Surf House, arriving in time for lunch.
From here, you are free to enjoy the beautiful area and servies of Malole. Apart from surfing, other activities include boating, biking, snorkeling in crystal clear waters, enjoying the stunning beauty of small uninhabited islands, traditional village walks, or just kicking back and relaxing.
Boat transfers to Nembrala by Zodiac are included. Speedboat transfers to the outer islands are are available at additional cost.

Final Day |
Early moring transfer to the ferry ride back to Kupang, arriving after lunch. Transfer to Kupang airport for your late afternoon flight back to Bali where you will be picked up and transferred back to your hotel or next connection.

Malole Surf House was designed and created by surfing legend Felipe Pomar (1965 World Surf Champion) and long-time Rote resident, Diego Arrarte.
Maria Pineiro, Diego's partner and international chef, creates the healthiest, most flavorsome food found on the island, including Spanish tapas, sashimi and the famous Argentine barbecue.

Malole Surf House design pays homage to indigenous Rotenese building techniques and was created for the sole purpose of enjoying & sharing Rote’s incredible surf.
Our four rooms (based in two separate buildings) sleep a maximum of 10 people. The kitchen, dining room and lounge are located in a third building. The entire property is surrounded by Rote’s signature natural stone and palm fencing, which ensures privacy and security without obstructing sea views.
The main house is a two-story building offering a large room upstairs and another one downstairs, both with a private bathroom and veranda, that can be joined by an interior door to accommodate families or bigger group of friends traveling together. Each room can take up to 3 guests.
The Guest house offers 2 independent rooms, both with private bathrooms and ocean view veranda. There is an outdoor shower for common use. All rooms are fitted with comfortable spring beds, mosquito nets, safes and electric fans.

Restaurant & Bar |
Includes the kitchen, dining area, a common lounge area, the house library, and the outdoor barbeque and brick oven area. This is an excellent place to enjoy an evening drink and an appetizer while watching and smelling your fresh fish on the barbeque, and telling your friends about the amazing never ending waves you surfed earlier.
