Freeline pioneered this area in 1993 and has operated tours each year since. Nev was the guide, we stayed in the local town of Krui and drove each day to the various breaks in the area, depending on swell conditions. It was hard core travel.
Today you have the relative luxury and convenience of being based for the duration of the tour at
'Ombak Indah' losmen situated right in front of
'Ujung Bocur, the longest, most consistent wave in
the area. This left-hander handles most swells
and offers something for everyone. There are about 10 quality waves in this beautiful area, that is often compared to how Bali was 30 years ago.
Those on the Premium Package have a Surf
Guide and vehicle on standby, ready to chase the other
waves in the area.
Not too far away is a more challenging
left, and the nearby town of Krui has nice left & right
reef breaks on bigger swells.
Further north are a couple
of left and right reef breaks that offer a real challenge
on the right conditions. And as a back-up for the infrequent small days, quality beach breaks are are 20 minutes north.
You can also visit the many
places of interest in the area including local markets and towns, hot springs, nearby island, jungle and elephant treks and handcraft makers. See 'Ombak Indah' page for more information on the area.

ITINERARY |
Day 1 |
Arrive in Jakarta, airport pickup, transfer to hotel
in central Jakarta for overnight stay (if you are travelling from Bali, we can get you to the losmen on the same day). |
Day 2 |
Morning transfer from hotel to airport for short
flight to Bandar Lampung, Sumatra. Airport pickup
and approx. 6 hour drive to losmen, arriving in late
afternoon.

Day 3-13 |
Surf & the various breaks in the area. Visit
local places of interest, relax and enjoy the beautiful
surroundings. See 'Ombak Indah' page for more information on the area.

Day 14 |
Early departure from losmen to Bandar Lampung airport
for afternoon flight to Jakarta. Airport pickup and
transfer to international flight home or next destination.
