ITINERARY

Day 1

Guests arrive in Medan, airport pickup and transfer to hotel (breakfast included)

Day 2

Transfer from hotel to airport for morning for short flight to Sibolga. Your boards are transported overland to Sibolga. Board Bohemian, depart approx. 7pm, arriving at the islands for your first surf early next morning.

Days 3-11

Dependent on swell and conditions, we go to the Banyaks, Bangkaru (Treasure Island), Simeulue, Babi, Hinakos (Asu & Bawa), Nias, or Telos. We prefer to focus on the Hinakos and the Banyaks most of the time and so do most of our guests. When it is small the Banyaks do not have much to offer, but the Hinakos almost always have a wave. Due to the distances travelled, charters including Telos will not include Simeulue and vise-versa.

Late on day 11 you depart for Sibolga, arriving early Thursday morning.

Day 12

Arrive in Sibolga approx. 6am. Your boards are transported overland to Medan, arriving by 6pm. Fly back to Medan, arriving 1pm. Connect with flights leaving Medan after 2000.

ABOUT THE CREW

Captain

Your skipper Steve Bridge was born in England, raised in Australia, and has since spent his time between California, Indonesia, and Oz. He has operated three different surf charter boats in Indonesian waters during the last fifteen years. Two of these, including Bohemian, he built himself.
Bohemian has been based in North Sumatra longer than any other charter boat and Steve's knowledge of the breaks and conditions means you'll be at the right place at the right time to get plenty of surf.

Chef

The Chef (and first mate) Ann has been in charge of the galley for 4 years now. She continues the Bohemian tradition of great food. Ann cooks all the western dishes (and desserts) that you like plus a tasty assortment of her native Thai food. Good surf may be dependent on the conditions, but we guarantee you delicious, healthy food day in and day out on Bohemian. Be prepared to gain weight .
